My name is Nickolas Bell. I am an aspiring Entertainment News Journalist. I have pursued Broadcast Journalism since I was 13 years old. My first opportunity presented itself when I had the chance to star in a promotions commercial which was directed by Kelly Frank, the former Executive Producer of CNN for Kentucky Wesleyan College. I spoke about the school in a positive light and encouraged Alumni to donate back to school so that they could continue to fund scholarships. After transferring from Kentucky Wesleyan, I began attending Valdosta State University to continue my pursuit in Journalism. I auditioned and became a DJ for 90.9 Blaze FM which was the school radio station. I also interned as a Sports Correspondent for In The Game Sports Network where I interned and did freelance reporting for about year before making my transition back into local news. I continued my pursuit in Journalism as I anchored the local news for the city of Valdosta through the platform of VSU TV. I then went on to intern at Black Crow Media's 107.9 The Beat which is a local Hip Hop & R&B station. I've been at the station for about a year and a half and have gained a great deal of experience. I have also acquired skills in speaking effectively, keeping an audience engaged, writing scripts, hosting live events, and production of commercials.I am still interning at the station and will be graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts Mass Media on December 9th 2017. My current plans are to move back to the Atlanta area to search for work as a Journalist for an entertainment company.
